Troy Sice
is backordered. We will ship it separately when it becomes available.
Land, water and sky are relatives for Troy Sice's antler Tablita Maiden who connects with the Zuni horizon and offers prayers. She understands the interconnectedness as one living family on Mother Earth. The small artwork is colorfully detailed with red coral, lapis lazuli and turquoise pieces, plus pipestone and jet paste. Dimensions of this small Zuni Maiden are about 1 5/8" tall, 1/2" wide and 3/8" deep.
Benina Kallestewa
Snakes are beneficial neighbors who offer organic rodent control by keeping our gardens in tip top shape. Benina Kallestewa's gorgeous serpentine reptile has radiant eyes from cultured opal inlays. A red coral tongue adds a pleasing pop of color. We love the stunning crystalline inclusion that makes its way through this approximately 4 1/4" long, 1/2" wide and 1" tall ecosystem partner.
Larry Peina
Nestled in a sandy depression on the desert floor, Larry Peina's precious horned Lizard hatchling learns how to sit and wait for an unsuspecting harvester red ant to walk by. Sculpted from serpentine with gorgeous natural layering, this turquoise-eyed baby has softly-sculpted spines and horns. Approximately 2 1/4" long, 2" wide and 3/4" tall.
Stevan Natachu
Pansy Natachu
Bears teach us how to live in harmony with the land through respectful gathering, only taking what is needed and to act with purpose each day. Zuni artist Pansy Natachu has been carving divine animal necklaces through the years and her latest offering is a stunning necklace featuring 15 tiny yet powerful turquoise bears. Their gentle eyes and continuous heartlines or breath paths are from jet inlays which contrast beautifully with the sky blue hue of the stones. The handmade single strand necklace with fine turquoise and jet beads is about 26 1/2" long, while the center bear measures roughly 7/8" long from back to front, 1/4" wide from side to side and 3/8" tall. The smaller bear's average approximately 3/8" long from top to bottom, 5/8" wide from head to tail and 1/8" tall. Silver end cones and a hook and eye closure finish the collectible work of wearable art with much traditional meaning.
Eric Lonjose
Owl is a feathered shadow in the night with an ethereal presence. Eric Lonjose's silent observer, with alert eyes from jet paste in colorful turquoise, is carved from pink opal which is sometimes called the stone of divine love because it's said to promote compassion towards oneself and others. We're admiring the various feather details intricately incised on this approximately 2 7/8" tall, 1 3/4" wide and roughly 1 3/4" deep nocturnal guardian.
Stevan Natachu expertly cut colorful materials like turquoise, spiny oyster shell, jet, mother-of-pearl and gold lip shell overlaying them in a striking geometric mosaic pattern on the tail of a wild canine (Fox, Wolf or Coyote) sculpted from marble. He's well-known for decorating animal carvings this way, they're wonderful. Eyes of a seasoned survivalist are from jet paste. About 2 7/8" long, 1" wide and 3/4" tall.
