Hayes Leekya has been carving what he calls Messenger
Bears with feathered companions for quite sometime. His latest offering is a robust messenger bear hewn from stunning Zuni travertine, while the little permanently perched feathered friend is sculpted from variscite. Their encouraging eyes from pen shell inlays want you to know that you have an inner strength to get though the hard times even though you might not be able to feel it right now. The powerful bear wears a miniature, non-removable offering necklace with sky blue turquoise, heishe and refreshing melon shell beads. Dimensions in their entirety are about 4 7/8" long, 3 1/8" wide and 4" tall.
