In prehistoric times Zuni animal carvings were minimally worked but effective in purpose by the creatures they represented. Old-style fetishes carved today parallel the one's of the past, strongly resembling them such as Lorandina Sheche's elongated Mountain-lions
(panthers, pumas or cougars) with turquoise eyes. The beauty and natural properties of the soapstone can be enjoyed in this approximate 6 5/8" long, 1 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" tall nicely-sized work. A large shimmering pink mussel shell point with turquoise and branch red coral are offered in thankfulness to these grand cats who teach us to establish healthy boundaries in our lives the way they do in nature.
