With a fancy overlaid tail of pipestone, jet, and gold lip shell, Steven Natachu's vivid Badger is carved from azurite, about 3 1/4" long and 1/2" tall. Steven has selected red coral for this mammal's eyes. And the specimen of azurite he selected for this carving features a fabulous naturally occurring dark line running the length of the badges back reminding us of classic badger markings.
An all hand made bolo tie, that hangs at about 20" long, adjustable. The beaded bird measures about 3 1/4" long and 1 1/8 wide, at the widest area. At the center of the bird is a spectacular azurite cabochon. Azurite comes from the Persian word lazhaward meaning ‘blue.’ The significant and supple black leather cord is hand braided. A stunning work of wearable art! The underside of this piece is signed by the artist, Jovanna Poblano, .
