Originating from one antler specimen is a crafty jet-eyed Raven and a brilliant red coral-eyed parrot. They're presented a top an antler base enriched with vibrant inlays such as red coral, lapis and turquoise. Wondrous offering bundles of jet, coral, serpentine, turquoise, lapis, smokey quartz, aquamarine, peridot, charoite and kyanite beads are secured to this approximate 7" long, 1" wide and 3" tall dual bird carving. Plumage and beaks are beautifully contrasted thanks to the burnt-out details in the antler by Robert Michael Weahkee. Extra shipping charges may apply.
Tales of dragons exist in many cultures, first being described by the ancient Sumerians as well as the Greeks, who referred to them as "draconta", meaning to watch. Throughout time people unearthed gigantic bones, not knowing they were dinosaurs, attributing them to those of amazing Lizard-like dragons.
Robert Michael Weahkee's terrific dragon has been brought to us from antler, his primary medium. Definite incising marks bring about powerful wings, a pointy segmented tail, reptilian scaly skin, as well as a showy display of awesome teeth. Turquoise inlaid eyes and burnt-out areas add gorgeous contrast. About 8 1/4" tall, 5" wide and 6" deep. Extra shipping charges may apply.
Robert Michael Weahkee's carving are always fantastic and this little spotted dachshund is no exception, but don't let appearances fool you. Did you know that dachshunds were originally bread to hunt Badgers in Germany? The breed is known to be courageous and even willing to take on animals larger than themselves. So the next time you're feeling a little daunted, look to your dachshund friend to help pluck up your courage. This piece measure about 8" long by 1 1/8" wide and stands at a mighty 1 3/8" tall, with bright blue eyes of turquoise and an offering necklace of heishe shell, aquamarine, amber, charoite and green garnet beads.
