Angelina Medina, Acoma-Zia-Zuni
Angelina Medina recently shared that her wonderful pottery creations are "spiritual experiences. The butterflies for instance. They are messengers, they carry the messages to beings who specialize in whatever a person is asking for or about." Her latest offering is a stunning pottery plate titled "Nature's Message" honoring the Butterfly who is a relative embarking on a journey to bring comfort to others. We love the highly-detailed wings, bird spirit and bountiful flowers emerging from Mother Earth. About 10 1/2" long, 10 1/2" wide and 5/8" tall, made from natural clay including mica clay and earth-toned pigments. Signed by the artist.
Sheldon Lalio
Zuni artist Sheldon Lalio's sterling silver cuff bracelet is that special piece of jewelry you'll always want to wear because it's gorgeously created in the channel inlay technique. Silver channels rest meticulously between cheerful turquoise in four rows of goodness. Elegant saw work details the borders of the bracelet that has an entire inner circumference of about 6 1/2" which includes the opening of approximately 1 3/8". The bracelet's width is a flattering 3/4" wide. Its height is about 1/8" tall. Signed by the artist. Please click here for help in determining wrist size and best fit.
Mike Tucson
Chad Wallace
The diminishing daylight hours signal the time for a little warrior Hummingbird to journey to a warmer place as late autumn's temperatures start to drop. Bringing beauty to Mother Earth, a hummingbird’s presence inspires us to taste the sweet essence and nectar of life. Carved from one portion of handsome Picasso marble, Chad Wallace's turquoise-eyed and billed feathered friend is about 3" long, 1/2" wide and 2 1/8" tall. We're happy to welcome him to keshi.com.
Melvin Sandoval, San Felipe-Zuni
Melvin Sandoval's horned Lizard stays still in an almost flat posture that practically merges with Mother Earth as a living piece of the desert landscape. Sculpted from a speckled fish rock serpentine with an irresistible cool smoothness, dimensions of this grounded and beautiful reptile are approximately 2 3/8" long, 1 1/2" wide and 1/2" tall.
Danette Laate's Silverado jet Coyote (Wolf or Fox) arches up to take in the night sky. Eyes inlaid from bright turquoise look for signs in the stars above, while fellow coyotes howl in song. Typically solitary while hunting, coyotes use sound to connect back to their packs demonstrating an independent spirit while maintaining ties to a group. This bushytail measures approximately 1 1/2" long, 5/8" wide and 2 5/8" tall.
