Silvester Hustito
is backordered. We will ship it separately when it becomes available.
A brilliant multi-talented artist, Silvester's aesthetic is contemporary and knows no boundaries, setting him apart from other painters from Zuni Pueblo. Silvester began his creative journey early in life exploring many different mediums. His paintings are abstract in nature and draw on his experiences growing up in the Zuni Pueblo community. These stylized figures are painted with acrylic on masonite and then mounted on wood, about 22" long by 12" high.

Dylan Poblano
Dylan Poblano is a wonderful artist who comes from the greater Teddy Weahkee family of Zuni artists. Harvest season is here for the A:Shiwi (The People) and other Pueblo cultures in New Mexico. A glorious Harvest Corn-Maiden is sculpted from bold jet with etched facial features including a mouth from a turquoise inlay. Her Corn body hosts several sterling silver, inlaid red coral and turquoise jewelry accents, perhaps representative of corn silk or corn pollen. A traditional tablita headdress is from hand-fabricated sterling silver stamped with the words Zuni. Two sterling silver elements represents corn husks, rolled in a beautiful way. An incredible base of red brass completes this approximately 5 3/8" tall, 4 1/4" wide and 2 1/2" deep unique work. Signed by the artist.

Carlos Laate & Roxanne Seoutewa
Life-giving water is represented in this approximately 5 1/2" tall, 8 1/2" wide and 9" deep pottery bowl. Perfectly imperfect, it is all hand-coiled with natural clay and hand-painted with mineral paints by renowned Zuni potter Carlos Laate with the help of his late jeweler wife Roxanne Seoutewa. Water creatures abound, such as squirmy tadpoles that swim freely with Frog companions. Inside this wonderful bowl, Kolowisi who represents the Guardian of the waterways, moves to and fro. Signed by the artists.
Clive Hustito
Clive Hustito's magnificent upright Bear is carved from a weighty marble with swirling maroon, pink and cream-hued inclusions giving the impression of a shaggy coat. Standing bears are like brothers who teach us to stay strong. Expressive eyes are from turquoise inlays while clawed paws are incised. He honored the bear with a necklace from lovely turquoise and coral beads. A powerful bear stands about 8" tall, 3 1/2" wide by 2 1/4" deep.
