A women-led conservation group in Kenya called Momma Simba fosters human-lion coexistence working hard to save them and other endangered species where they live. Habitat restoration and early warning detection systems for lion sightings are some of the ways these courageous Indigenous women are protecting wildlife. Lions are sentient beings some of the most intelligent cats on Mother Earth. We're admiring Bryston Bowannie's rendition of this great feline with turquoise inlaid eyes sculpted from a richly layered onyx to a size of approximately 2 5/8" long, 1" wide and 1 7/8" tall.
