Amber is basically fossilized tree resin. In prehistoric times, certain trees exuded a sticky, clean resin to both heal as well as protect their bark from bacteria and fungi. Bear cub has been sculpted from a dark slightly reddish-brown amber to a tidy size of approximately 1 1/2" long, 3/4" wide and 1 1/8" tall. It hears mother's call to say close-by. Wise eyes are from turquoise inlaid to a wonderful face with sniffing muzzle and attentive ears.
