Husband and wife artists Lynn and Jayne Quam have collaborated in carving and inlaying a reversible septarian nodule Bear (or Medicine-Bear). We see a gorgeous inlaid mosaic from crushed turquoise, alunite, onyx, spiny oyster shell, serpentine, crushed lapis, pen shell, abalone, marble, serpentine with augite and fish rock serpentine on one side. The other side hosts an inlaid Zuni Sunface from turquoise, jet and pipestone, with radiating turquoise pieces. A traditional symbol, it represents the elements in balance. A meaningful and versatile bear that has expressive turquoise inlaid eyes. Approximately 3 7/8" long, 1" wide and 2 7/8" tall.
