A loving family means no one gets left behind in Maxx Laate's Bear clan as they journey together. Each of the three bears have individuality and wonderful personality. Eyes are from turquoise. Maxx and his late brother Pernell Laate learned the art of fetish carving from their uncle Willard Laate. Measurements of this masterpiece from one piece of jet are about 4" long, 1" wide and 7/8" tall. We love how they're presented on an arrow point base, simply exquisite.

Maxx Laate is an extraordinary artist having taught many in his family the art of fetish carving. We're inspired by the power conveyed from his vibrant lapis lazuli Eagle (or Hawk) fetish pendant. Eagles see far and wide in nature teaching us to try and see the whole picture in any situation. A magnificent beak and an eye from turquoise are surrounded by a handmade bezel of sterling silver accents including a wonderful spiral element. Measurements including the red coral inlaid bale are approximately 2 1/2" long and 1 5/8" wide. The nice silver snake chain is not included but is available and sold separately here.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this eagle fetish will go to the Zuni Eagle Sanctuary.

Not only is Maxx Laate a wonderful animal fetish carver but a skilled jeweler. His latest offering in that department is an exquisite sterling silver and Zacatecas turquoise ring. Mined in Mexico, Zacatecas is appreciated for its golden and black matrix mottled among refreshing sea foam green hued turquoise. Small silver florets surround the bezel that houses this gorgeous cabochon, all together measuring about 1 3/4" long and 1" wide. This is a ring size 9 3/4. Signed by the artist. View item
