The Zuni Sunface is a traditional design symbolizing a balance of the elements as seen in Danette Laate's Corn-Maiden. It's made from coral, jet and turquoise. She's carved from a desert-hued and naturally layered onyx, while facial features are set with turquoise and jet. Whorled hair is gorgeously incised and lobes are adorned with turquoise inlays. A corn leaf blade is etched and inlaid with a turquoise accent on the reverse side. Approximately 2 1/8" tall, 1" wide and 5/8" deep.
