Ryan Awelagte's father is artist Burt Awelagte who is from the greater Othole family of accomplished Zuni fetish carvers. Burt's uncle is renowned carver Gibbs Othole. Ryan's little brother is Kyle.
We're happy to share Ryan's latest offering, a spirited bushytail (Coyote, Fox, or Wolf) with a magnificently voluminous tail. Turquoise inlaid eyes are set into magnesite, while a mouth-watering offering bundle is composed of beads such as natural branch red coral, green turquoise, fresh water pearls, melon shell, amber and other delicious goodies. About 3" tall, 4" long and 1/2" wide.
