Sheldon and Nancy Westika's unforgettable triple strand fetish necklace hosts Bear, bird and bushytail (Coyote, Fox or Wolf) friends, all hand-carved of delicious materials like Picasso marble, turquoise, shell, serpentine, gold lip shell, both red and orange spiny oyster shell, sodalite, leopard marble, antler, magnesite and black lip shell. They all have drilled eyes that are darkened with jet paste, and are strung with fine heishe shell beads. Overall necklace length is about 26" long, while animal's average in length from about 1/2" to 1 3/8".

A highly-collectible and museum-quality collection of animals, making up Ray Tsalate's set representing the Six Directions that Zuni Pueblo people recognize. They assign an animal and a color to each.
Ray's inspiration came from old traditional pottery designs, bringing an "old-style" feeling to each animal. They are masterfully carved of antler. Wolf is 2 1/2" long, 1" wide and 1 1/4" tall, with mother-of-pearl inlay and pen shell eyes. Mountain Lion is 2 1/2" long, 7/8" wide and 1 1/8" tall, with gold lip shell inlay and malachite eyes. Eagle measures 2" long, 1" wide and 1" tall, with lapis, malachite, mother-of-pearl and gold lip shell inlay, plus red coral eyes. Badger is 1 5/8" long, 1 1/4" wide and 1 1/8" tall, with coral inlay and jet eyes. Mole is 1 3/8" long, 1 1/8" wide and 1" tall, with pen shell inlay and variscite eyes. Bear is 2" long, 1 1/8" wide and 1 1/8" tall, with turquoise inlay and turquoise eyes.

This gorgeous piece by Troy Sice won an Honorable Mention ribbon in the same year that Troy won the Best in Show award in the Class V: Sculpture category for a separate entry.
Out of the six directional protectors for the A:shiwi (Zuni People), the white Wolf is the guardian of the east. This wolf by Troy's carved from antler, on the look out, ready to pounce and yet gently carries a sweet blue bird friend. The bird is tied in with an obsidian arrow point with beads of turquoise and coral as an offering bundle carried on the back. The piece measures about 8 1/2" long by 3" across and stands at 8" tall. The wolf's eyes are inlaid lapis. The brown detailing of the nose, ears and tail are from expert burnishing of the antler to bring out the brown coloring. Extra shipping charges may apply.
Troy is an accomplished carver who comes from a long family history of carvers. He is a third-generation carver, the grandson of George H. CheeChee, nephew of Ramie and Miguel Haloo and half-brother of Colvin Peina. His creations have garnered awards in many shows across the country, including Best Of Show in the 94th (2015) SWAIA Santa Fe Indian Market, Class V: Sculpture category.
Created by Lena Boone and her daughter Evalena, is this vibrant single strand many animals fetish necklace, about 28" in total length, with lovely heishe shell beads. Perched center stage is a vibrant Owl of spiny oyster shell. Using chromatic and luscious materials like serpentine, turquoise, amber, spiny oyster shell, angelite, sodalite, gold lip shell, Picasso marble, fluorite and mother-of-pearl, Lena and Evalena carved creatures such as Bear, Turtle, Mole, Badger, bushytails (Fox, Wolf, Coyote), Hummingbird, fish, feathered friends and Mountain Lion. A collectible and reversible mother-of-pearl Mountain-lion pendant fetish necklace, about 26" in length, is strung with a double strand of lovely heishe shell and other colorful beads, by Andres Quandelacy. The center mountain lion has an inlaid turquoise heartline on either side, plus eyes of inlaid turquoise, and measures about 1 5/8" long and 1 3/8" tall.
