Burt Awelagte's watchful Eagle (or Hawk who is little brother to eagle in the Zuni way) is creatively carved from a precious portion of rare Cerrillos turquoise. The turquoise veins in this mineral are amazing. Sensing eyes are from inlaid turquoise and natural tail feathers provide balance during flight. An eagle's pattern of living teaches us to open our eyes and see the whole picture the way it does in nature. About 3 1/4" long, 2" wide and 2 1/2" deep. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this eagle fetish will go to the Zuni Eagle Sanctuary.
