Virgil Long's skillfully carved cottonwood "White Chin" Katsina doll is known as Tuma-uyi, an important bringer of rain. This sacred Katsina is part of the enormous Katsinam of the Hopi People believed to bring harmony in nature, beneficial rainfall, good crops, fertility and successful hunting among other important reasons.
