Amber is basically fossilized tree resin. In prehistoric times certain trees exuded a sticky, clean resin to protect their bark from bacteria and fungi. Dragonfly is carved from rich amber and inlaid with turquoise eyes and wing accents. About 1 5/8" long, 1 3/8"wide and less than 1/4" thick.
