Zuni artist Rickson Kallestewa is a gentle soul creating animal carvings reflective of his sweet spirit. He desires them to "bring happiness, kindness, strength and peace to everybody’s heart." A thoughtful Mountain-lion (puma, panther or cougar) with a stunning tail, holds an offering etched with a raincloud and lightning element, accented with jet paste. Clawed paws and endearing facial features are incised and filled with jet paste too. The offering bundle is from a nice pen shell point. About 3" long, 1" wide and 1 1/4" tall, sculpted from one portion of gorgeous alabaster alive with grey hues reminiscent of silvery clouds on a misty morning.
