Freshwater Pond Ducks

A serene freshwater pond is home to mother duck and her babies who enjoy swimming together in an orderly fashion. The most energy-efficient place for precious ducklings to swim is behind mother. They save good energy if they swim where the waves created by their mom or duckling siblings can propel them forward. Water fowl like ducks are esteemed by the A:Shiwi (The People) because not only do they swim in water but they walk on land and fly in the air. Ducks improve soil fertility. Joshua Qualo's mother duck and ducklings are hewn from one portion of antler. Happy eyes are from turquoise inlays and wing etching fans out like the sun's warming rays. About 5 1/4" long, 1 3/8" wide and 7/8" tall.
