The elegantly carved pink mussel shell, apple coral and lapis lazuli blooms are accented with perhaps angel skin coral or spiny oyster shell and turquoise inlays, while the women who are carved from Pacific green snail shell, are adorned with turquoise, red coral and angel skin coral inlays. Overlaid faces are from turquoise, malachite and iridescent mother-of-pearl, accented with jet paste. Etched stars and a Dragonfly decorate them too. Crushed turquoise represents life giving water. Including the base from Picasso marble, this reversible work of happy art is approximately 2 3/8" tall, 2" wide and 1 1/8" deep.
