Corn-Maidens rise from their Zuni Pueblo home spreading blessings across the ancestral lands. For the A:Shiwi (Zuni) Corn Maidens represent the ultimate source of life, sustenance, fertility and spiritual harmony. The ancient village, heavenly stars,
Dragonfly messengers and soothing faces are cleanly etched and filled with jet paste. Sculpted with exquisite detail, the iridescent smokey mother-of-pearl carving measures approximately 2 7/8" tall, 2 3/8" wide and 5/8" deep, by Kateri Quandelacy Sanchez.
