Elegant giraffes are herbivores who browse on leaves, flowers and fruits. They have specialized prehensile tongues and powerful lips that can gather leaves from the thorny Acacia tree. Cody Chavez's adorable giraffe is sculpted from sandstone and etched with a great pattern of spots or patches. These spots are unique to each creature like fingerprints are to us. A tiny carved turquoise leaf is held in the mouth. Nice eyes are from turquoise inlays. About 1 3/4" long, 1" wide and 2 3/8" tall.
