Held close for many years, Claudia Peina's stunning and rare antler Bow Priest is from the personal collection of Robin Dunlap who appreciated and loved the carving's fine details. For almost 40 years, she has been collecting Zuni carvings. Because of Robin's close connections in Zuni Pueblo, living and teaching there in the 80s, as well as serving on the founding board of the Keshi co-op and later as the owner of Keshi, she formed many close friendships with artists and accumulated quite a collection.
Don't miss the opportunity to acquire this wonderful treasure that is a true keeper. Soulful facial features are from pen shell, while a traditional head scarf is set with red coral cabochons. An intricate turquoise necklace and turquoise buttons are inlaid. The fringed blanket is incised with Dragonflies. Approximately 5 7/8" tall, 2" wide and 1 5/8" deep.
