Claudia Peina's Warrior Maiden was called to battle early and didn't have time to finish a traditional hairstyle. Meticulously carved from apple coral, a shawl is decorated with etched geometric lines filled with jet paste and inlaid with colorful turquoise cabochons. Hair is intricately incised and one whorl is set with turquoise. Discerning eyes are from jet paste. She stands at the ready holding a hand-stamped sterling silver raincloud shield and spear. Boots are "fastened" with inlaid turquoise buttons. Approximately 2 3/4" tall, 1" wide and 1" deep.
