A fabulous petroglyph of a Mountain-lion (puma, panther or cougar) was created by a member of the ancient Indigenous Hohokam culture. It was depicted with a long curved tail high up in the air, almost clearing the entire length of the feline. Salvador Romero carved a generously-sized mountain lion with its tail up and over the backside in the same old-style vein as that petroglyph of long ago. He attached a striking found stone point joined by colorful beads in the offering bundle of approximately 9" long, 1 1/4" wide and 3 5/8" tall feline from found stone.

A super cute Bobcat by Robert Michael Weahkee reminds us to explore the world with the curiosity and playfulness of a kitten while maintaining an awareness like a mature wildcat. Mountain lions in their natural power remind us to be strong and set healthy boundaries everyday. Refreshing chrysocolla is said to be an empowering stone that helps calm emotions and sooth in times of transition. Cheryl Beyuka's sourced an amazing chrysocolla specimen to carve a stealthy Mountain-lion that measures about 3 1/2" long, 3/4" wide and 1" tall. Eyes are from coral inlays and an offering bundle is laced with lapis lazuli, coral and turquoise beads, among other nice ones. A great combination of creature and stone.

A precious Bobcat is carved from tidgilite by Fabian Tsethlikai. With turquoise inlaid eyes and blown out facial fur ruffs, this little independent thinker feline is about 1 3/4" long, 3/4" wide and 1" tall. A bobcat's medicine is about self-sufficiency in a balanced way. Wildcats are critical in maintaining healthy populations of smaller mammals and rodents.

A Bobcat's animal medicine or example in nature is about finding a way to survive with the new environment around you because bobcats are adaptable felines. Troy Sice's museum-quality burnished antler wildcat has inquisitive eyes from turquoise inlays. The antler's natural qualities were creatively placed accenting the adorable face and tail region of this collectible feline. Vibrant faceted lapis lazuli and branch red coral beads accompany a sweet feathered friend who is made from iridescent gold lip shell. Happily perched on a plump orange spiny oyster shell point, the feathered friend helps compose the amazing offering bundle of graditude. The sweet bird has tiny eyes from lapis lazuli. All together, measurements are about 2 1/2" long, 1 1/4" wide and 2" tall.

Mountain-lions (pumas, panthers or cougars) are for the most part solitary but they do associate with other felines, especially when hunting and mating. Herbert Halate's exceptional fetish necklace and earrings set celebrates an ambush of mountain lions. They've been smoothly sculpted from jet and inlaid with discerning eyes from turquoise. The commanding center cat is about 2" long and 2 1/2" wide, while the other cats average from about 2" to 2 1/4" long. The overall length of this collectible fetish necklace is roughly 24" long. An attentive mother Mountain-lion (puma, panther or cougar) devotes her life to raising kittens teaching survival skills and how to establish good territories. The stunning Valles Caldera is an approximately 13 mile wide volcanic basin-like depression in the Jemez Mountains of northern New Mexico. Bubbling hot springs, clean streams, fumaroles, natural gas seeps and volcanic domes exist there. Beneficial animals like Mountain-lions (cougars, pumas or panthers) are a top predator native to the Valles Caldera. In the early 1900s these great cats including beneficial Coyotes and Wolves killed throughout the lower 48 states as part of a predator-removal program. Today Indigenous knowledge, which is rooted in the relationship between humans and their environment, is inspiring and informing conventional scientists like biologists and others of the vital importance of wild animals in their natural habitats in maintaining healthy ecosystems. Preferring rocky, rugged territory, these elusive felines make the Valles Caldera their birthright home. A Mountain Lion (puma, cougar or panther) is the supreme hunter setting good boundaries. At the top of the food chain, it is regarded as a great leader. Cameron Kalestewa celebrates a mountain lion's high-rank in an approximately 3 1/2" long, 7/8" wide and 1 3/8" tall Picasso marble carving. An alternating heartline from meticulously inlaid sections of pink mussel shell, turquoise, coral and pen shell starts at the mouth representing the breath path leading to the heart region. Fossilized ridged corals formed Petoskey stones which are only found in Michigan. These ancient corals lived in shallow sea waters. The stone was named after an Indigenous Ottawa Chief Pet-O-Sega. The rich brown and tan colors create an instant connection to the earth, while the six-sided marine polyps themselves form a gorgeous natural pattern. Rosella and Loubert Soseeah's turquoise-eyed Petoskey stone Mountain-lion (cougar, puma, leopard or panther) measures about 3 1/2" long, 1" wide and 2" tall with a wonderfully long tail presented old-style, which is up and over the backside. The coffee-hued area almost resembles a hidden Bear.

Mountain Lions are regarded as the best hunters. Felino Eriacho's magnificent feline stalks with a quiet step. Studies have found that Mountain-lions (pumas, cougars or panthers) interact with hundreds of species. They are ecological brokers if you will, who play a direct role in balancing other habitats and animal populations. It was discovered in the greater Yellowstone ecosystem that approximately 11% of local bird species even some songbirds, feed on mountain lion kills. Lorandina Sheche's turquoise eyed-feline is carved from an outstanding found stone with fascinating inclusions reminiscent of a natural heartline or breath path. A truly stunning Mountain Lion (cougar, puma or panther) has been smoothly sculpted from Mescalero jasper mined in Nevada. Diverse colors and patterns live in this approximately 2 3/8" long, 1" wide and roughly 1 1/2" tall turquoise-eyed cat. Christopher Sandoval is renowned carver Melvin Sandoval's son.
