The Canada Lynx is a rare wildcat who was recently spotted in Rutland County, Vermont in August 2024. Their numbers have declined throughout most of their native range in the lower 48 states due to trapping, aggressive logging, climate change driven wildfires and drought, plus encroaching road construction. These endangered felines need our help. If we spot one, report it to your local wildlife biologist. When hiking stay on designated trails which minimizes habitat loss. Get involved with conservationist organizations working hard for these extraordinary cats who are fascinatingly bigger in size than bobcats. Brian Yunie's lovely marble wildcat resembles the Canada Lynx. Eyes are from turquoise inlays, while adorable facial ruffs and bobbed tail are nicely worked. About 3" long, 5/8" wide and 1 3/8" tall.
