A precious little being, a pika is a herbivorous mammal that inhabits the highest of mountains in North America and Asia. Pikas are related to
Rabbits and are sometimes called "rock rabbits". Pikas have short legs and ears, plus they're much smaller than a bunny. Territorial, they'll sing, chirp and scream to protect what's theirs. Nelson Yatsattie's wonderful Picasso marble pika is about 2 3/4" long, 1" wide and 1 7/8" tall. Etched whiskers, tail and facial features, including turquoise inlaid eyes, are delightful aspects of this quick and elusive creature.
