We adore Sandra Quandelacy's double-sided carvings. Her latest offering is a Grandmother and Corn-Maiden combination. They celebrate life's transition from the early years to the older ones. Carved from a gorgeous fresh turquoise, we see the wise elder in a traditional shawl and sash along with a beautiful gift of coral. The reverse side shows the Maiden with a fertile corn body inlaid with colorful tidbits like coral, jet and shell. Facial features are etched and filled with jet paste. About 2 1/2" tall, 1 1/4" wide and 5/8" deep.
