Matriarch Ellen Quandelacy's special talents included creating incredible inlay jewelry to carving animals like equines that are super popular, hard to find yet easy to identify thanks to her singular style. Only after Ellen passed in 2002 did her children Stewart, Andres and Georgia begin carving horses.

Stewart Quandelacy and Priscilla Lasiloo Quandelacy's reversible Horse fetish pendant necklace is spectacular. Friendly turquoise eyes are inlaid to a matrix-rich turquoise that has a gorgeously carved naja or crescent shape on the pendant, a unique design the Quandelacy family is known for. They carve this naja right into the stone's center instead of attaching a metal bale. This style was started by the late Johnny Quam and continued by his daughter Ellen and right down the family line. Strung with a double strand of complimenting turquoise, malachite and spiny oyster shell beads, Stewart and Priscilla's handsome pendant necklace is about 21" long with a 5" extension chain. The horse pendant itself is about 2 3/4" wide, 1 3/8" long with naja and 1/4" deep.
