Herbert Halate
is backordered. We will ship it separately when it becomes available.
Part of the fun in collecting Zuni animal carvings is the stones that connect us with nature. Herbert Halate opted for refreshing alabaster to carve a sunny Bear. Alabaster is said to promote self-forgiveness and a positive attitude to bounce back from adversity. Approving eyes and an offering bundle representing gratitude are from turquoise. About 2 1/8" long, 3/8" wide and 7/8" tall.
Fitz & Marlo Kiyite
Fitz and Marlo Kiyite's adorable panther reminds us of the fictional cartoon cat the Pink Panther. Carved from lively peach alabaster, this jet-eyed feline (Mountain-lion, cougar or puma) is about 2 1/4" long, 1/2" wide and 3/4" tall. The soft leather pouch that's approximately 3 1/4" tall and 2 1/4" wide is handmade by Moon Bags. A delightful 2-piece set.
Jacob Wilson, Zuni-Dine
Alabaster is a mineral in the gypsum family adored throughout time because of versatility and ease of carving. Jacob Wilson's charming Bear has been sculpted from a gorgeous alabaster to a size of approximately 2 5/8" long, 3/4" wide and 1 1/2" tall. Little ears are drilled and eyes are from turquoise inlays. Bears are revered by Indigenous cultures because they have powers that we do not.
