A reverence for life-giving
Corn is honored in a handmade sterling silver tufa cast unisex ring by award-winning master jeweler Anthony Lovato. He says that corn evokes family. In the creation of this exquisite work of wearable art, Anthony harvested the tufa sandstone from the Jemez, New Mexico area. Back in his studio, a hand saw was used to slice the tufa into manageable portions. He then meticulously carved this one of a kind design into the sandstone. Molten silver was then poured into the block and allowed to cool. The lone turquoise cabochon is like a cherry on top, the stone itself is about 1/4" in diameter. The inside of the piece has lovely spiral, perhaps lightning and more corn elements. This is a ring size 12 1/2. It is 7/8" long and 1/8 tall. Anthony's jewelry is comfortable to wear. Signed by the artist.
