We are honored to share a stunning new collection of original artworks by gifted painter Anthony Gchachu called "Finding The Heart of Our Home". They center around culture identity, the Migration Story and the origin of the A:Shiwi (Zuni People). Anthony shared that his "Visitor From The South" colorful acrylic painting depicts Macaw who leads brothers and sisters down south.
In the beginning, the A:Shiwi discovered two eggs; one shiny and colorful, the other drab and dull. From these eggs two birds emerged, each leading one half of the People to their respective homelands. From the shiny and colorful egg emerged a Raven and from the drab and dull egg emerged a Macaw. The Raven lead its People to Zuni and the Macaw lead its People into what would become South America.
Anthony said the black frame is representative of the dull egg from which the lovely Macaw hatched from. Framed measurements are about 15 1/4" by 12 1/4" by 1 3/4", while unframed dimensions are approximately 14" by 11". Signed by the artist. Please click here to meet the creative force that is Anthony.
