Carved from colorful surfite by Danette Laate is a Butterfly Maiden who represents feminine strength and positive transformation because butterflies must go through a metamorphose to survive. Butterflies are effective pollinators. As pollen clings to their legs and bodies, they transfer it between blooms to fertilize plants. Turquoise eyes and inlays adorn cleanly etched wings, while a voice of wisdom is represented by a jet inlay. We love her little etched bangs too. About 2 3/8" tall, 1/4" wide and 1 1/8" deep.
