Katsinas are various masked ancestral spirits who come during Hopi religious dances. Adrian Leon creates traditional katsina dolls like this miniature Hopi Falcon Katsina who is detailed with feathers, pipe cleaner, cloth, thread and yucca spikes on a cottonwood body painted with colorful acrylic paints. The yucca spikes represent whips. Signed by the artist, this exquisitely small woodwork including base is approximately 2 1/2" tall, 1 1/4" wide and 1" deep. Signed by the artist.
