Sandra Quandelacy's double-sided carvings are delightful. Her latest offering is a Corn-Maiden and Grandmother combination. They celebrate life's transition from the early years to the older ones. Carved from Kingman turquoise, we see Corn Maiden with a fertile corn body inlaid with colorful tidbits of coral, lapis lazuli and turquoise. The reverse side shows the wise elder in a traditional shawl with a beautiful gift of red coral. Facial features and watery Dragonflies are etched and filled with jet paste. About 2" tall, 1 1/4" wide and 3/8" deep.
