Sandra Quandelacy's reversible fetish pendant necklace shares both Corn-Maiden and Grandmother carved from vibrant lapis lazuli. Corn Maiden has etched rows of corn kernels representing fertility. She's accented with red coral, verdant malachite, precious sugilite and turquoise inlays. Many water-loving Dragonflies accompany the women. The intricately detailed fringe on Grandmother's shawl is exquisitely rendered. Their faces are overlaid, etched and filled with jet paste, from either turquoise or iridescent mother-of-pearl. The pendant itself is about 2 5/8" long with bale and 1 3/8" wide, while the necklace is approximately 23 1/2" long. Beautifully shaped beads are predominantly lapis while other ones include fresh water pearl, turquoise, spiny oyster shell and melon shell.
