"Shalako" Pottery Jar

Honored master pueblo potter Les Namingha has brought together traditional and contemporary techniques, such as hand-building with Hopi clay and the use of complimentary acrylic paints to create a collectible "Shalako" pottery jar. Circa 2015, this masterwork features four Shalako. An important religious katsina ceremony takes place once a year at Zuni Pueblo in which Shalako makes an appearance.
