Mother Duck & Ducklings

The most energy-efficient place for precious ducklings to swim is behind their mother. They save good energy if they swim at certain positions where the waves created by their mom or other ducklings propels them forward. Water fowl like ducks are esteemed in Zuni because not only do they swim in water, but they walk on land and fly in the air. Ducks improve soil fertility. Joshua Qualo's mother duck and ducklings are hewn from one portion of antler. Eyes are from turquoise inlays. About 9" long, 1 3/4" wide and 3/4" tall.
