A sublime Zuni maiden fetish pendant necklace is carved and strung by Jovanna Poblano. She descends from the greater Teddy Weahkee (d) family of Zuni Pueblo carvers. Her grandfather was iconic carver Leo Poblano (d). Her mother is carver and jeweler Veronica Poblano. Multi-media artist Dylan Poblano is her brother.
Etched and darkened with jet paste facial features convey well-being on the abalone maiden pendant that itself is about 2 1/4" long and 1 3/4" wide. She's strung with alternating beads, some faceted, from incredible labradorite, soothing charoite, vibrant lapis lazuli and lovely opal. The varying shapes of the beads feel neat to touch and look dynamite. This colorful and collectible pendant necklace is about 21" long.
