Andres Quandelacy's set representing the
six-direction-group is outstanding. The Zunis acknowledge six directions and assign a color and animal to each. White
Wolf is 2 1/4" long, carved from gold lip shell. A travertine
Mountain Lion is 2 1/4" long.
Eagle is of Picasso marble and measures 2 1/2" long and 1 1/4" tall.
Badger is 2 1/2" long, 1" wide and 1" tall, carved from pipestone. Jet
Mole is 2 1/4" long. Turquoise
Bear is 1 5/8" long, 3/4" wide and 1 5/8" tall. The animal's eyes are inlaid of turquoise, except for the bear has eyes of red coral. This cherished set is colorful and exquisitely carved.
