Isaac Coriz, Kewa (Santo Domingo)
is backordered. We will ship it separately when it becomes available.
Isaac Coriz's traditional thunderbird design is reminiscent of Depression era jewelry. His motif is shown in reversible pendant form on five luscious strands of glowing labradorite, turquoise, jet and sterling silver beads.
Creatively arranged pieces of jet, turquoise, mother-of-pearl and reflective labradorite have been overlaid on a bed of mother-of-pearl to form one side, while the mother-of-pearl side features an incised hand element, perhaps representative of unity and creativity. Each bird has a turquoise bead for an eye.
What's also versatile about this fabulous necklace is that the thunderbird pendant itself is removable from the strands, making it easy to place on another form of suspension if desired.
The overall length of this gorgeous pendant necklace is about 19 1/2". The hand-stamped sterling silver bale fixture with thunderbird pendant measures approximately 4" long and 1 3/4" wide.
Veronica Poblano is from the greater Teddy Weahkee (d) family of carvers. Her father was noted and iconic Zuni carver Leo Poblano (d), nephew of Teddy Weahkee. Her latest masterwork is this magnificent labradorite bird, absolutely glowing with blue, green and yellow hues. It is permanently perched a top a carved turquoise leaf. Either incised wing is set with a sterling silver and red coral or turquoise cabochon. Lapis and turquoise stones are inlaid along the back of this fine bird that has turquoise eyes. This special fetish will be a treasured addition to any collection. About 3 5/8" long, 2" wide and 2" tall. Extra shipping charges may apply.
Jovanna Poblano's exquisite Butterfly necklace is all handmade, approximately 20" long, while center butterfly station is about 2 1/8" in wingspan and 4" long. This butterfly is masterfully hand-beaded, with its wings showcasing gorgeous turquoise and faceted lapis stones. This winged-wonder has a turquoise face with silver beads for antennae. Jovanna backed this insect with soft brown suede. This signed-by-the-artist double strand necklace is strung with amazing abalone, turquoise and glowing labradorite beads. Don't miss this collectible work of wearable art!
