Veronica Poblano's father was iconic Zuni Pueblo carver Leo Poblano (d). He was the nephew of Teddy Weahkee (d). Their enormous contribution to Zuni fetish carving continues in the gifted hands of Veronica through her melodious turquoise-eyed feathered friend hewn from luminous labradorite. Pockets of blue hues glow like a piece of heaven. A brilliant offering bundle is from a blue turquoise point joined by tassels of branch red coral and turquoise beads. A sterling silver signature label is adhered to the reverse side of this sublime piece that's meant to lay flat. Approximately 3" long including the tassels, 2" wide from sweet beak to tail feathers and 1 1/4" tall.
