Dylan Poblano is a wonderful artist that comes from the greater Teddy Weahkee (d) family of Zuni artists. His sister is artist Jovanna Poblano. Their mother is Veronica Poblano.
We're honored to offer Dylan's glorious harvest corn maiden of jet. Her facial features are carved and a mouth is represented by a turquoise inlay. Her body shows etched areas of Corn kernels that are hosting several sterling silver, inlaid red coral and turquoise jewelry accents, perhaps depictive of corn silk or corn pollen. Her traditional tablita headdress is of sterling silver that's stamped with the words Zuni. Two sterling silver elements represents corn husks, rolled in a beautiful way.
An incredible base of red brass completes this approximate 5 3/8" tall, 4 1/4" wide and 2 1/2" deep wondrous work. Signed by the artist. Extra shipping charges may apply.
