Burt Awelagte chose a wonderful specimen of Peruvian angelite to create a
Bison. With its large head bowed down and white inclusions marking the stone this carving invokes a story of a great bison plowing through the prairie deep with winter snow. Bison, or buffalo, represent abundance and prosperity. This wonderful bovine is about 3 3/4" long, 2" wide, and 3" tall with eyes of inlaid turquoise and a pretty seashell offering.
