Nick Rosetta is renowned for micro heishe jewelry, a sophisticated and traditional art form. Heishe which means shell are small hand-rolled beads from Kewa (Santo Domingo Pueblo). They are laboriously made from shell and materials like turquoise. He does his own exquisite lapidary work such as cutting, grinding, sanding and polishing. Nick's latest offering is a stunning triple strand turquoise and sterling silver micro heishe necklace. There's also one serpentine and one marble bead. We love the fluidity of the strands. The collectible signed by the artist necklace is about 21" long, while the sterling silver beads measure a bit more than 1/8" wide. The lovely turquoise beads are roughly 1/8" wide.
