White Bears represent healing in Zuni Pueblo traditional ways. Around the rainforest coast of British Colombia, a subspecies of black bears called Kermode bears produce rare white or creamy-furred bears sometimes referred to as Spirit Bears, sacred brothers to the Indigenous Peoples there. Burt Awelagte honors these magnificent creatures with a smoothly sculpted white sugar stone marble bear (or perhaps a polar bear) reversible fetish pendant necklace. Turquoise eyes are set to the sweet bear that's about 1 3/8" long including bale, 1 1/2" wide and 5/8" deep. It is strung with a mouthwatering fresh water pearl and turquoise necklace to a length of approximately 26". A sterling silver toggle closure is a lovely feature too.
