A beloved
Frog is by Burt Awelagte who is from the greater Othole family of Zuni Pueblo fetish carvers. His uncle is renowned carver Gibbs Othole. Amphibians are a sacred symbol. Prayers ask to hear the croaking of frogs because that is a sign the life-giving rains are here. We're adoring the amazing amber eyes of this approximately 2" long, 1 3/4" wide and 1" tall water creature sculpted from leopard marble.
