The three stages of womanhood is represented in Sandra Quandelacy's exquisite and reversible carving from lovely young fluorite. Grandmother or Mother watches over both a young Corn-Maiden and her older sister. Their blankets are decorated with Dragonfly companions, while an assortment of colorful turquoise, red coral, lapis lazuli, jet and serpentine pieces adorn them. Happy faces are etched and filled with jet paste, one of them is from overlaid turquoise. A bountiful corn crop is etched into the side of this approximately 2 5/8" tall, 1 1/4" wide and 1 3/8" deep celebration of feminine strength.
