In the charming Zuni forest, Sun Father smiles after a nourishing rain shower. Everything is refreshed in a pleasing earthy scent called petrichor. The name is derived from the Greek words petra meaning "stone" and ichor meaning "the fluid that flows in the veins of the gods". Fox (Wolf or Coyote) frolics along the woodland's edge where Mother Earth's dampened, leaf-covered ground warrants a satisfying sniffing session. Carved from jet, Herbert Halate's playful canine has bright turquoise eyes and measures about 4 1/4" long, 3/4" wide and 1 1/8" tall.
