Kateri Quandelacy Sanchez has carved luscious smoky mother-of-pearl shell into three united Corn-Maidens and a watchful Owl. The Maidens have faces from gold lip shell, etched and filled with jet paste. The protective raptor has wonderful eyes from jet in shell that resemble crescent moons. A Dragonfly motif and turquoise inlays adorn this intricately worked piece that measures approximately 3 1/2" tall, 3 1/4" wide and 3/4" deep.
